988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline

The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the United States. We’re committed to improving crisis services and advancing suicide prevention by empowering individuals, advancing professional best practices, and building awareness.                         

Arkansas Crisis Hotline

Your life matters! Arkansas Crisis Call Specialists are standing by to listen, provide support, and connect Arkansans with resources in their area via our Crisis Helpline. The Arkansas Crisis Center also provides community outreach and customized suicide awareness and prevention training. 

Crisis Text Line

The Crisis Text Line provides free, 24/7, confidential crisis support. Text HOME to 741741 to chat with a compassionate, trained crisis counselor. The Crisis Text Line is free on AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, or Verizon networks, standard messaging rates may apply for other carriers.

Center for Effective Parenting (Arkansas Children’s Hospital)

The Center for Effective Parenting (CEP) attempts to positively impact children through a focus on improving parenting skills.  The Center is a collaborative project of the Jones Center for Families in Springdale, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), and Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH).  The Center focuses its efforts in the areas of service, training, and research. By focusing efforts in these three areas the Center strives to have a significant impact not only on parents and children in Arkansas but also on parents and children across the nation.

Stop Bullying 

Stop Bullying: When adults respond quickly and consistently to bullying behavior they send the message that it is not acceptable. Research shows this can stop bullying behavior over time. Parents, school staff, and other adults in the community can help kids prevent bullying by talking about it, building a safe school environment, and creating a community-wide bullying prevention strategy.
