Leslie Blanchard, Ph.D.

Dr. Blanchard received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in 2008.  She completed her internship with Arkansas Children's Hospital and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.  It is here that she received additional training in evaluation and treatment of developmental concerns, such as autism spectrum disorders. 

In 2009, Dr. Blanchard joined a private practice in Fayetteville, Arkansas where she remained in practice for two years before relocating to Russellville, Arkansas in 2011.  She now continues her work in private practice at River Valley Psychology.  Dr. Blanchard enjoys working with diverse needs of children, adolescents, and adults. She utilizes empirically supported approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and adapts as needed to provide individualized care.

She is a member of the Arkansas Psychological Association and furthers her education by attending the annual Arkansas Psychological Association Fall Conference, as well as other seminars throughout the year.  She also holds membership in the American Psychological Association and shares in their mission “to advance the creation, communication and application of psychological knowledge to benefit society and improve people's lives.”


Mary Baumberger, LCSW

Mary Baumberger completed her Master of Social Work degree in 2012 at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She was trained in generalist social work as well as advanced direct practice social work. Upon completion of her masters she worked in non profit therapy and counseling settings from 2012 to 2018.

Mary enjoys serving a variety of populations. Most recently she completed extensive and advanced level training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. EMDR has been extensively researched and is effective in treating a variety of mental health conditions including trauma, depression, and anxiety.

Mary also enjoys working with perinatal mood disorders including Postpartum Depression (PPD) and Postpartum Anxiety (PPA). This type of therapy includes risk assessment, support identification and strengthening, attachment and bonding work with infant/toddler and other children (if appropriate), and discussion of other additional forms of treatment.

Populations served include new mothers, adolescents and young adults, adults, and couples. Other modalities used include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Strategic Family Therapy.


Stephanie Taylor, LCSW

Stephanie Taylor completed her Masters of Social Work degree in 2014 from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She was trained in generalist social work and advanced direct practice with multiple systems, as well as advocacy and social policies. Upon completion of her Masters degree, she worked in non-profit counseling settings from 2014 to 2020. 

Stephanie enjoys serving a wide variety of populations from childhood to adulthood. Stephanie’s target population are individuals/families who struggle with adjusting to life stressors, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, chronic illnesses, trauma, grief and loss, and relational issues. Stephanie is committed to providing a unique and individualized treatment that is tailored made to meet your needs. 

Stephanie is certified in the Trauma Conscious Yoga Method, completed training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction therapy, and is in the process of training to become EMDR certified. Stephanie uses a wide array of evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Strengths-Based Perspective, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Compassion-Focused Therapy 

Melanie Cooke, LCSW

Melanie Cooke completed her Master's of Social Work degree in 2015 at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She was trained in generalist social work as well as advanced direct practice social work. Upon completion of her Master's, Melanie worked in community mental health from 2015-2021.

Melanie enjoys serving a variety of populations including children, adolescents and young adults, adults, families and couples. Her target population are individuals/families who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, and relationship/family issues. Melanie utilizes evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strategic Family Therapy and Solution Focused techniques to work towards individualized goals.

Brandi Rogers, LCSW

Brandi Rogers is currently providing services via telehealth for River Valley Psychology from a remote office. Brandi Rogers completed her Master of Social Work degree in 2011 at  the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She was trained in generalist social work as well as advanced direct practice social work. In 2014 she completed trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy training and she also has completed the National START Coordinator training for  intellectual or developmentally disabled and mental health, focusing on the commodities associated with mental illness and IDD.

Brandi enjoys serving a  variety of populations from childhood to adulthood and treats an array of psychological and mental health areas including self esteem, depression, anxiety, mood disturbance, family conflict, psychosis, grief and loss, trauma and suicidal ideation. Brandi has worked with children as young as the age of 3.  Prior to starting at River Valley Psychology, Brandi had experience working with children for numerous reasons including but not limited to transitioning in the foster care system and adoption, trauma or abuse, behavior issues, anxiety,  difficulty with transitions, mood instability and family changes. 

In 2018 Brandi completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing  (EMDR) therapy. EMDR has been extensively researched and is effective  in treating a variety of mental health conditions including trauma,  depression, and anxiety.  Brandi is also a trained Yoga Teacher.
